Hydra battle tips

Hydra – the new game mode for guilds has been released. In the new mode you have to challenge a new boss – the multi-headed Hydra. Hydra has several difficulty modes. As the difficulty increases, so will the rewards for victory. Each of Hydra’s six heads have unique characteristics, which means you need to find a different approach to each one and plan your attack strategy together with your guildmates. The more heads of Hydra you defeat – the more rewards each guild member receives.

In this post we will share some tips and tricks on how to fight against Hydra and her heads.

Tips & tricks

Mojo & Jhu is one of the best combos against Hydra. Mojo can die and his Hex curse will stay on throughout the battle. You don’t need a very strong Mojo, primarily you should focus leveling up his Hex (purple) skill. Then you should add an additional damage dealer to your team that can survive and keep on hitting Hydra.

Jhu in your team should be quite well leveled up. Mojo and Jhu combo works very well because of Jhu’s “I will take your life” skill (green) as he sacrifices 2% of his health and deals pure damage. Healers in your team should heal him fast enough so that Jhu can use his skills a lot. On top of that, Mojo will exponentially increase this damage with his Hex skill.
In case your Jhu is still being leveled up, you can use Mojo and Orion duo.
Important note: any other damage dealer with Mojo will
not have the same effect and you might see weaker results.

Daredevil seems to be the Hydra slayer, she performs amazingly well against all the Hydras. Ideally you wan to have max Daredevil. Primarily focus on her artifact book and health stats.

Corvus seems to be one the best heroes to use against any hydra, you should put Corvus into one of your teams.

You should focus on his physical attack and agility stats. Physical attack will enhance Sebastian’s skills to improve Daredevil.

Dorian’s main task is to give the team his aura and live. You should also focus on his artifact weapon stats.

  1. Please allow us to view the hydra attacks taken + those of guild members, like in arena and grand arena. Also, please show attacks taken (#/3) like it’s shown in guild wars and cross server tournament.

  2. Also, it would be nice to see the Hydra stats, like armor and Mag Defense… not sure how relevant Mag or Phys penetration is

    1. Mag pen and armor pen is a must buy a good crit team (including yasmine) I’ll do at least 5-6m dmg and I’m no orange plus veteran

  3. I hate this new game mode. Not just dislike, but actually hate it. I have to build an entire new group of heroes to fight many of the hydra heads. It makes so much of my previous investment and development irrelevant. And my heroes aren’t weak, my GA is 1.45 mil and overall hero power almost 3 mil. Strongly considering just cutting out because of this.

    1. Yasmine is an absolute beast for me. I use Yasmine, Orion, Keira, Celeste and Nebula on darkness. Total team at 355K. I run about 10.7 million damage

  4. Crit damage team – Chabba (I guess any other tank will work), Jhu, Daredevil and Sebastian with a good healer (I use Martha) works fine for me, undead for the back up.
Still stuck on the first one though. How do you kill all 6 heads in one day?

  5. No one has mentioned Qing Mao, but at level 75 she does about twice as much damage as Daredevil against almost all the hydras. Both are pretty equally geared. Does Qing Mao drop way off later, or is still good to use to end game on hydras?

    1. A fully maxed Daredevil team produces anywhere from 30-50 million damage on Dreadful/Legendary Hydras. Qing Mao’s damage is higher than Daredevil’s at lvl.75 because of her 3rd skill (deals %damage based on health). Which means, the more health the hydra has, the more damage Qing Mao will do.

  6. Some of those heroes need more maximizing because I believe that they’re not strong enough for the dreadful or legendary Hydra, come on, what will it take for my heroes to defeat the dreadful and the legendary Hydra?

  7. Would Mojo, Orion, and Jhu be an even more powerful combo or am I missing something? Like needing additional healers or tanks to survive the damage?
